Tailored Magnet Assembly

One of our customers recently came to us with a problem that required an extraordinary pull force sideways. This required three of our strongest magnets (Willy 800 kg | 1750 lbs) working together in one semi-rigid assembly.

The assembly had to be strong enough to carry the lateral forces, yet flexible enough to be able to be used on curved surfaces, and for the release mechanism of each magnet to work independently. 

The solution was designed by Blumags, and built at our manufacturing facility in Haugesund, Norway. The video shows the factory test of the release mechanism.
